Our client in the Information Technology and Services industry is looking for an Enterprise Infrastructure Python Developer to build and deliver scalable automation solutions that streamline and modernise database operations within a highly regulated enterprise environment. The role focuses on API-driven automation, containerised deployments, and cloud-native infrastructure.
What you will do:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation solutions for database operations and rollouts.
- Build and integrate APIs using Python and FastAPI to support database management operations and automation workflows.
- Troubleshoot and resolve automation issues across scripting, APIs, and containerised environments.
- Containerise and deploy applications and services using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Administer Kubernetes resources including Pods, Ingress, Services, Secrets, and Custom Resource Definitions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable, secure, and efficient infrastructure automation.
Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with Python development and API frameworks such as FastAPI.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes in enterprise environments.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes resource administration.
- Exposure to observability tools including Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry.
- Familiarity with enterprise tooling such as Control-M, TrueSight, Guardium, Tenable Nessus, or Delinea.
- Understanding of security and software development within highly regulated environments.
- End-to-end knowledge of CI/CD pipelines including build, package, test, and deployment processes.
- Experience working with Agile practices and tools such as JIRA.
- Exposure to secrets management using HashiCorp Vault.
- Working knowledge of PostgreSQL and PostgreSQL database administration.
