Work Set Up: Hybrid (3 days per week onsite in Sheffield office)

Our client in the IT Services & Consulting industry is looking for an Agile Product Owner to lead the implementation of OpenShift within a complex enterprise technology environment. This role will serve as the critical link between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring platform capabilities align with strategic objectives while delivering high-value outcomes across the organization.

What you will do:

  • Define and maintain the product vision and roadmap for OpenShift implementation.
  • Gather, analyze, and prioritize business and technical requirements with key stakeholders.
  • Translate requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria for delivery teams.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, architecture, and DevOps teams to ensure timely delivery of features and enhancements.
  • Manage and maintain the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business priorities and technical feasibility.
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Monitor delivery progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies where required.
  • Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and operational standards within the organization’s technology environment.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for OpenShift-related decisions and inquiries.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience working as a Product Owner or in a similar Agile delivery role.
  • Strong working knowledge of container technologies, particularly OpenShift and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP and hybrid cloud models.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Ability to translate technical requirements into clear business outcomes.
  • Experience using backlog management and delivery tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices is advantageous.
  • Contractor must be eligible for BPSS clearance.
  • Must operate under PAYE via Umbrella arrangement.
