Our client in the Information Technology and Services industry is looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to design, build and automate AWS-based infrastructure supporting strategic data and analytics platforms. The role will focus on creating secure and scalable cloud environments, implementing security controls and developing Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions to enable rapid and repeatable environment provisioning.
What you will do:
- Design, build and deploy AWS infrastructure environments to support platform and application workloads.
- Configure core AWS services, networking, security groups, IAM roles, permissions and user authentication mechanisms.
- Implement and maintain cloud security policies in line with enterprise security standards and best practices.
- Develop and automate Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) scripts for environment provisioning and recreation.
- Ensure infrastructure solutions remain scalable, resilient, secure and operationally efficient.
- Collaborate with development, architecture and security teams to support platform deployments and ongoing enhancements.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrate strong hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure and cloud platform engineering.
- Apply advanced knowledge of AWS IAM, Security Groups, VPCs, networking, authentication and access management.
- Develop Infrastructure-as-Code solutions using Terraform, CloudFormation or similar automation tools.
- Possess a strong understanding of cloud security principles, governance and compliance controls.
- Show experience automating infrastructure deployment, configuration and environment management.
- Apply strong troubleshooting, problem-solving and operational support skills.
- Meet the eligibility requirements for BPSS clearance.
- Accept PAYE employment through an Umbrella company.
