Our client in the Information Technology and Services industry is looking for an experienced HR Project Manager to lead and deliver a large-scale restructuring programme impacting up to 150 employees. This role will take full ownership of the planning, governance, delivery, and execution of all HR-related aspects of the programme, ensuring legal compliance, operational effectiveness, and a strong focus on employee experience throughout the process. The successful candidate will operate in a fast-paced environment, managing complex stakeholder relationships while ensuring consultation, redeployment, and exit processes are conducted professionally, legally, and ethically.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of the restructuring programme across multiple practices and business lines.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, milestones, and governance frameworks.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate programme risks to ensure successful delivery.
- Provide regular updates and reporting to senior stakeholders and steering committees.
- Design and deliver collective consultation processes in compliance with employment legislation.
- Partner with business leaders, HR teams, and legal advisors to mitigate risk and ensure adherence to UK employment law and best practices.
- Oversee individual consultation processes, ensuring consistency, fairness, and professionalism.
- Coordinate selection criteria, scoring methodologies, and supporting documentation.
- Serve as the primary HR point of contact for senior leaders, managers, and impacted employees.
- Coach and support managers throughout restructuring conversations and consultation activities.
- Collaborate with Legal, Finance, Communications, IT, and other internal stakeholders.
- Develop and implement clear and empathetic communication strategies throughout the programme lifecycle.
- Ensure employees are treated with dignity and respect during all stages of the restructuring process.
- Manage FAQs, briefing materials, and employee communications.
- Oversee the delivery of employee support services, including Employee Assistance Programmes and outplacement support.
- Ensure all activities comply with employment law, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate, auditable documentation of decisions and processes.
- Support the preparation of business cases and approval documentation.
- Deliver project governance structures, communication plans, and risk management reporting.
Qualifications
- Proven experience leading large-scale restructuring programmes impacting 100 or more employees.
- Strong project and programme management experience within complex HR transformation initiatives.
- Deep knowledge of UK employment law, particularly collective consultation and restructuring processes.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships, including senior leadership engagement.
- Excellent communication, influencing, and change management skills.
- Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced and high-pressure environments.
- Experience managing consultation, redeployment, and employee exit processes in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Strong analytical, organisational, and documentation skills with a focus on governance and audit readiness.
- BPSS clearance or eligibility to obtain and maintain clearance.
- Must be a UK Passport Holder.
