  • Our client in the Information Technology and Services industry is looking for a

SQL Production Engineer to provide production support for enterprise applications across complex cloud and on-premises environments.

This role is responsible for supporting SQL-based applications, troubleshooting backend workflows, managing deployments, ensuring service reliability, and maintaining production stability.

The ideal candidate brings strong experience with Linux/Unix/Windows environments, SQL and PL/SQL, cloud technologies, scheduling tools, and ITIL-based production support practices.

What you will do

  • Provide production support for enterprise applications running across Linux, Unix, Windows, Java, SQL, and PL/SQL environments.
  • Administer cloud services and support AWS Cloud Formation deployments within cloud architectures.
  • Manage scheduling and event management processes using tools such as Auto Sys and Netcool.
  • Support CI/CD processes by utilizing enterprise source control tools including Git Hub and Bitbucket.
  • Monitor, manage, and track production activities using work management tools such as SF and LCT.
  • Troubleshoot backend workflow management processes, batch processing issues, and shell scripting-related incidents.
  • Support resiliency testing and disaster recovery activities using resiliency workflow management tools such as Cutover.
  • Participate in incident, problem, change, service delivery, and transition activities following ITIL best practices.
  • Monitor production environments using observability and application performance monitoring tools.
  • Support Service Now-hosted applications and contribute to continuous operational improvements.

Qualifications

  • Five or more years of hands-on experience supporting production environments utilizing Linux, Unix, Windows, Java, SQL, and PL/SQL.
  • Experience administering cloud services and deploying solutions using AWS Cloud Formation.
  • Proficiency with scheduling and event management tools, including Auto Sys and Netcool.
  • Experience using Git Hub, Bitbucket, or other enterprise source control platforms to support CI/CD workflows.
  • Experience managing production activities through work management tools such as SF and LCT.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills involving backend workflow management, batch processing, and shell scripting.
  • Understanding of ITIL concepts, including Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, Service Delivery, and Service Transition.
  • Experience supporting resiliency testing and disaster recovery processes using workflow management tools such as Cutover.
  • Experience working with observability and application performance monitoring tools such as App Dynamics or other APM platforms is preferred.
  • Experience supporting Service Now-hosted applications is desirable.
