Our client in the Information Technology and Services industry is looking for a Full Stack Developer (Kotlin/Java) to join their Developer Experience (DevX) Standards and Controls function. This role focuses on building a platform that enables control owners and development teams to manage and view compliance with software development controls. The position involves working on Kotlin and Java-based web applications and APIs within a modern microservices architecture, contributing to scalable solutions that support engineering standards and governance across the organisation.
What you will do:
- Collaborate with developers, testers, and wider stakeholders to build and run products.
- Design, develop, and implement backend and frontend features aligned with backlog priorities.
- Build APIs and microservices that address business and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to design and launch new features.
- Work closely with customers to resolve issues and respond to feature requests.
- Operate within an Agile CI/CD environment to deliver iterative improvements at pace.
- Participate in peer reviews and contribute to automated testing practices.
- Support development and maintenance of multiple applications and proof of concepts.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in Kotlin or strong Java expertise with willingness to learn Kotlin.
- Proven ability to work with developer collaboration tools such as GitHub or Bitbucket, Jira, and Confluence.
- Strong technical and analytical troubleshooting skills applied in development environments.
- Solid understanding of microservices architecture and modern development practices.
- Experience working in Agile environments and applying CI/CD principles.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with English proficiency at B2 level or above.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is advantageous.
- Exposure to CI/CD toolchains such as Jenkins is beneficial.
- Background in systems administration across Linux, AIX, or WAS platforms is desirable.
