About the Team:

As a Yard Operative your role will be vital in ensuring that the yard area is kept clear and well managed at all times. You will be responsible for ensuring all food waste is split into various avenues of removal. This will include food waste, charity collections and our onsite Market. You will work efficiently to manage all pallets so that they are stacked neatly into each of their respective categories, and loaded into the pallet trailer ready for collection. You will ensure that all large waste items are disposed of into the open top general waste container, and all broken wood is disposed of into the wood open top container.

You will be working to ensure best practices are followed at all times. Guided by our Team Leaders, you’ll be directed to maintain the highest product standards whilst delivering on business KPIs.

You are required to cooperate with HelloFresh in all health and safety matters. You are responsible for ensuring you take reasonable care of your own health, and safety as well as others who may be affected by the work activities you undertake. You must report incidents immediately and actively raise health and safety-related concerns to your Line Manager

What you will be doing:

  • To ensure that the yard area is kept clear and well managed at all times
  • To ensure all food waste is separated into their specific streams
  • Ensure that pallets are separated into their respective categories
  • Ensure that our waste streams are disposed of as per instruction and training.
  • To load and unload trailers as per the requirements of the business
  • Support other functions in maintaining waste standards
  • Report progress and issues to the Facilities Coordinator
  • Use of counterbalance for general yard duties

Who you are:

  • Detail oriented
  • MHE experience (PPT, Reachtruck, Counterbalance) required but not essential
  • Experience in a fast paced/moving environment
  • A great team player
  • Fast learner
  • Ability to work well with your hands
