About the Team:
As an Ice Machine Operator you are responsible for the daily set-up, operation, and general maintenance of all equipment within the ice production space. You are responsible for ensuring the machine produces high quality packs, efficiently, and managing the packing staff in your team. You will be working to ensure best practices are followed at all times. Guided by our Team Leaders, you’ll be directed to maintain the highest product standards whilst delivering on business KPIs.
You are required to cooperate with HelloFresh in all health and safety matters. You are responsible for ensuring you take reasonable care of your own health, and safety as well as others who may be affected by the work activities you undertake. You must report incidents immediately and actively raise health and safety-related concerns to your Line Manager.
What you will be doing:
- Set up machinery for operation
- Perform pre-ops checks
- Start equipment and make informed adjustments for improved performance
- Operate equipment according to training and instructions
- Troubleshoot and perform general maintenance on the machine
- Perform quality control procedure and report issues to production manager and/or maintenance staff
- Manage a small team of pick packers
- Clean machinery and maintain cleanliness/proper housekeeping in the production space
Who you are:
- Experience operating equipment in a manufacturing facility, or similar
- Detail-oriented
- General maintenance experience/mechanically minded (preferred)
- Ability to lead a small team, and work efficiently within a team environment
- Energy, enthusiasm, position, committed, and a can-do attitude
- Strong work ethic
- Practical knowledge and experience in an operational environment desired
- Quick and effective problem solver
- Ability to work well under pressure
