What You Will Be Doing:

  • Lead UK-wide strategic change projects, applying Shingo Operational Excellence principles to enhance both operational and organisational performance.
  • Identify, prioritise, and implement process optimisation opportunities using Lean Six Sigma and WCM methodologies to eliminate waste and reduce variability.
  • Lead cultural transformation initiatives that leverage leading with humility and WCM frameworks, partnering with senior leadership to secure buy-in.
  • Serve as a coach and mentor to teams across the organization, guiding them in the application of Lean, Six Sigma, and problem-solving techniques.
  • Lead large-scale operational excellence projects from planning to implementation, ensuring they meet deadlines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Coach, develop, and support team members to build capability, creating robust development plans and upskilling the internal team.
  • Maintain alignment and visibility with senior stakeholders on projects, ensuring the business is informed about current achievements and risks.
  • Ensure that customer feedback and expectations are at the heart of all improvement activities, aligning operational efforts with customer needs.

Who You Are:

  • You hold a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (Essential), with a Master Black Belt being preferred.
  • Ideally over 5 years of experience leading continuous improvement projects and controlling cross-functional change.
  • Experienced in World Class Manufacturing (WCM) and have a strong track record of running Kaizen events.
  • You possess excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence from the shop floor to the C-suite.
  • Deep knowledge of manufacturing best practices, H&S, and food safety (HACCP) within an FMCG environment.
  • Flexible to work varying hours to align to the start and end of shifts when necessary.

Location: The Windmill, Spondon, Derby

Shifts: Monday - Friday onsite, 8am-5pm or 9am-6pm. This is an onsite role.
