Hello Education is proud to be supporting a well-respected Private Day Nursery in Darlington to recruit caring and enthusiastic Nursery Assistants. This is an ongoing opportunity with both full-time and part-time hours available, starting as soon as possible. You will play a vital role in supporting children aged 0-5, helping to create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where young learners can grow, explore, and develop essential early life skills.
Key Responsibilities- Support the learning, development, and wellbeing of children aged 0-5 years.
- Assist with personal care routines, including toileting and mealtimes.
- Encourage independence and self-help skills in a supportive and age-appropriate way.
- Help create a warm, engaging, and inclusive nursery environment.
- Support children's social, emotional, and early educational development through play-based activities.
- Work collaboratively with nursery staff to maintain high standards of care and safeguarding.
We are looking for individuals who:
- Have at least 6 months experience working with children aged 0-5 years.
- Have experience supporting children at mealtimes, including those who may need additional help.
- Are confident supporting children with personal care and bathroom routines.
- Hold relevant childcare qualifications and/or experience.
- Hold an Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service.
- Are caring, patient, and passionate about early years development.
- Competitive rates of pay, inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
