Your mission
As Client Category Director – Beauty, you will define and lead the commercial strategy for the beauty vertical across the HELLO! portfolio. You’ll drive revenue growth through innovative, multi-platform brand partnerships spanning print, digital, social, video, audio, and experiential channels. This senior client-facing role blends strategic vision, creative flair, and deep beauty industry insight to deliver impactful, insight-led collaborations that inspire audiences and exceed client objectives. Please note this is a one year fixed term contract.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end commercial strategy for the Beauty category across all HELLO! platforms, including HELLO! magazine, LUXE, London, Weddings, H Fashion, hellomagazine.com, and all social, video, audio, and live event touchpoints.
- Develop and deliver integrated, data-driven partnerships that align with client goals and achieve ambitious revenue targets.
- Oversee ideation, creation, and execution of multi-platform campaigns—from editorially aligned branded content to high-impact events and activations.
- Cultivate and grow strategic relationships with senior marketing, PR, and brand leaders within the beauty industry.
- Collaborate with agencies to identify opportunities, craft compelling responses to briefs, and convert pitches into long-term partnerships.
- Build and execute the Beauty category revenue plan, ensuring alignment with HELLO!’s wider commercial strategy.
- Lead client and agency responses—partnering with creative strategy, insight, and content teams to craft standout proposals.
- Proactively identify new business opportunities across emerging channels such as podcasts, social video, and experiential platforms.
- Create and deliver bespoke partnership proposals, combining creativity, storytelling, and commercial strategy.
- Strengthen HELLO!’s network within the beauty sector through events, launches, and continuous client engagement.
- Act as the category authority, staying ahead of trends, product innovation, and consumer insights.
- Regularly evaluate target client lists to optimise business potential and drive incremental growth.
- Elevate HELLO!’s presence within the beauty community through thought leadership and event representation.
- Ensure all commercial materials—decks, video pitches, and presentations—are of the highest creative and strategic quality, consistent with HELLO!’s tone and brand values.
Cross-Departmental Collaboration
- Partner with the Insight team to ensure proposals are data-led, audience-focused, and category relevant.
- Collaborate closely with Editorial to align on brand priorities and leverage editorial storytelling for commercial gain.
- Work with Finance to maintain forecasting accuracy and resolve billing queries efficiently.
- Liaise with Events, Social, Video, and Audio teams to ensure seamless delivery of all campaign activations.
- Partner with Marketing to develop collaborations for HELLO! and H Fashion membership communities.
Your profile
- Be an expert in HELLO!’s brand, audience, and platforms, embodying its tone and values.
- Deliver confident, engaging client and agency presentations, underpinned by strong market insight and storytelling.
- Maintain meticulous records of all commercial activity, including client interactions, proposals, and revenue tracking.
- Represent HELLO! at industry events, launches, and trade shows, building the brand’s reputation and influence.
- Serve as a brand ambassador, championing innovation and excellence across all commercial touchpoints.
Experience
Experience in a client facing Beauty role is essential. Excellent knowledge of the Beauty industry and experience in setting the commercial strategy for the Beauty category.
Qualifications
Previous experience is key but a relevant qualification would be desirable.
