Hello Education is delighted to be partnering with a number of Primary Schools across Hartlepool to recruit dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants for the current academic term. This is a rewarding opportunity to play a key role in supporting pupils’ learning and development.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to provide tailored support to individuals and small groups, helping every child to reach their full potential in a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons across the primary curriculum.
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils, including those with additional learning needs.
  • Assist in managing classroom behaviour and promoting a positive, nurturing atmosphere.
  • Help prepare learning materials and resources to enhance classroom activities.
  • Encourage pupil participation, independence, and self-confidence.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching and support staff to ensure consistent, high-quality provision.
Person Specification
  • Have experience (or a strong desire to gain experience) working with children in a UK-based school setting.
  • Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (essential).
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrate patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting young learners.
  • Hold (or are willing to obtain) a valid Enhanced DBS certificate.
  • Hold a full UK driving licence (preferred).
