This is a rewarding opportunity to contribute to the growth and wellbeing of children aged 0–5 years, supporting them through play, learning, and daily routines in a safe and nurturing environment.
Your Role at the Start of the New Term: As a Nursery Assistant, you will play an important part in supporting children’s early development, helping to create a positive, engaging, and secure environment where every child can thrive.
Key Responsibilities:- Early Years Support – Assist children aged 0–5 with daily routines and activities, ensuring a safe, caring, and stimulating environment.
- Mealtime Support – Support children during meals, encouraging independence while providing assistance where needed.
- Personal Care Assistance – Support with toileting and self-care routines, promoting confidence and independence in line with nursery practice.
- Play and Engagement – Actively participate in play-based and educational activities that encourage learning and development.
- Development Support – Encourage children’s curiosity, creativity, and social skills, supporting key developmental milestones.
- Have at least 6 months’ experience working with children aged 0–5 years.
- Are confident supporting personal care and mealtime routines.
- Encourage independence and positive self-help skills in young children.
- Hold a relevant childcare qualification, or are working towards one.
- Hold, or are willing to obtain, an Enhanced DBS check.
