Are you a passionate Geography Teacher looking to step into leadership? Or an experienced subject lead ready for an exciting new challenge? We are seeking to appoint a Leader of Geography on a permanent basis to join the Humanities Team within a secondary school in Bradford. This is a full-time position starting in September 2025. The Role: As Leader of Geography, you will be a highly valued member of the Humanities Faculty and play a key role in shaping the curriculum, driving standards, and leading a team of committed professionals. You will inspire both students and staff with your subject passion and leadership. Your responsibilities will include: Leading the delivery of the Geography curriculum across Key Stages 3 and 4 Supporting and developing members of the Geography department Ensuring high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment Tracking student progress and implementing effective interventions Collaborating across the Humanities team to enhance cross-curricular opportunities Contributing to whole-school improvement and enrichment strategiesWhat We’re Looking For: A qualified teacher (QTS/PGCE or equivalent) with a strong Geography specialism Experience teaching Geography at KS3 and KS4, with a track record of strong outcomes Leadership experience or the desire and capability to step into a middle leadership role A commitment to raising aspirations and closing the achievement gap A collaborative mindset and passion for team development Strong classroom management and curriculum planning skillsWhy Join Us?
