Working Hours: 36 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 8:30am to 5:00pm, Friday 8:30am to 3:30pm

HR Advisor - The Role: You will be a true generalist HR professional, supporting our manufacturing site in Manchester and our distribution operation in Cannock. Working in a 24/7 operational environment, you will partner closely with managers and operational leaders to deliver a consistent, pragmatic and commercially focused approach to people management. The role offers exposure to a broad range of employee relations, organisational and operational challenges, providing an opportunity to make a tangible impact across the business while continuing to develop your career within a complex manufacturing and distribution environment. You will provide practical HR guidance, influence across employee relations, performance and attendance matters, and help managers make confident decisions while ensuring appropriate risk management. Alongside day-to-day support, you will contribute to improving HR processes, building manager capability and supporting a more data-informed approach to HR.
HR Advisor - Key Responsibilities:
- Provide practical HR guidance to managers across manufacturing and distribution environments, supporting fair, consistent and legally sound outcomes
- Coach managers through investigations, disciplinary and grievance processes, ensuring robust and defensible decision-making
- Support proactive management of attendance, performance and capability, with a focus on early intervention and sustained improvement
- Analyse HR data and trends to identify risks, support decision-making and inform targeted actions
- Support recruitment activity and onboarding processes, ensuring a positive and compliant experience
- Contribute to the delivery of learning and development activities to strengthen manager capability
- Ensure HR processes, records and documentation are accurate, compliant and audit-ready
HR Advisor - You:
- Strong working knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practice
- Experience operating as an HR Advisor within a manufacturing, distribution, logistics or similar operational environment
- Confidence to influence and challenge constructively at all levels, with a proactive, solution-focused approach
- Experience using HR systems and data to support reporting and decision-making
- CIPD qualified or working towards qualification
- Flexible approach to working in a 24/7 operational environment, including occasional evening or weekend support where required
