- Senior Business Development Manager – Fire Safety
- Field Based – London & South East | Competitive Salary + Uncapped Commission + Benefits
- Company Overview
Firetecnics is one of London’s most established LPCB-certified fire safety businesses, with more than 35 years’ experience supporting residential and commercial property customers.
As part of the Helix International Group, we combine specialist fire‑safety expertise with the backing and capability of a wider risk, compliance and technology group.
We are now strengthening our commercial team to accelerate the growth of our recurring Service & Maintenance portfolio.
The Opportunity
This is a genuine new‑business role for someone who enjoys creating opportunities, opening doors and winning long‑term customer relationships.
You will have the autonomy to build your own pipeline, target the right customers and take opportunities from first conversation through to contract award.
You will also have the support of Firetecnics’ wider commercial, operational and technical teams, alongside marketing activity, referrals, cross‑selling opportunities and existing market relationships.
The opportunity is particularly suited to someone who wants to do more than inherit a portfolio you will have the chance to help shape and grow one.
- What You will Be Doing
- Build and convert a strong self‑generated new‑business pipeline.
- Win new recurring service and maintenance contracts across the property and facilities‑management market.
- Develop relationships with senior decision‑makers across property, FM, procurement and the wider built environment.
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and qualification through to tender, negotiation and close.
- Identify opportunities to displace incumbent suppliers through stronger service, value and commercial insight.
- Work closely with Operations, Design & Estimating and Technical teams to ensure solutions are commercially attractive and operationally deliverable.
- Protect quality of revenue through sound judgement around pricing, scope, margin and contract terms.
- Maintain clear CRM, pipeline and forecasting discipline.
- Represent Firetecnics credibly across customer meetings, industry events and market networks.
- What We Are Looking For
We are interested in what you have personally won and how you won it, rather than simply your job title.
You should be able to demonstrate
- Strong new‑business hunting and new‑logo acquisition.
- A track record of creating your own pipeline rather than relying solely on inbound leads.
- Success selling recurring B2B service or maintenance contracts.
- Clear, measurable sales performance against target.
- Confidence selling to senior customer stakeholders.
- Strong commercial judgement around pricing, margin and qualification.
- Experience managing complex sales cycles, tenders and negotiations.
- The discipline to manage pipeline and forecasts accurately.
Fire‑safety Experience Is Advantageous, But Not Essential.
We are equally interested in high‑performing commercial professionals from Hard FM, M&E, building services, HVAC, BMS, electrical maintenance, fire & security or other recurring technical‑service environments where the customer base and sales model are transferable.
Why Firetecnics?
This is an opportunity to join an established specialist business at a point of genuine growth.
You will have
- Autonomy to build your own market and pipeline
- Uncapped earning potential
- Direct access to senior leadership and technical expertise
- Strong visibility across the business
- The backing of the wider Helix International Group
- The opportunity to make a measurable impact on the growth of Firetecnics’ maintenance portfolio
If you are currently successful where you are but feel ready for a role where you can have greater ownership, visibility and commercial impact, this could be worth a conversation.
