Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Junior Field Inspection Technician to ensure that safety equipment, specifically emergency lighting systems and bell alarms, are operating efficiently and in compliance with safety standards. This role involves regular inspections, testing, and maintenance of emergency lights and bell systems to ensure they are fully functional and ready for use in the event of an emergency.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections of emergency lighting systems to ensure proper functionality and compliance with safety codes.
- Test emergency lights on a regular basis, including verifying battery backup, light intensity, and operation during power outages.
- Inspect and test bell alarms, ensuring they are fully operational for emergency evacuation procedures.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve any issues with emergency lighting and bell systems, including replacing parts or performing repairs as needed.
- Maintain detailed records of inspections & testing results.
- Report any non‑compliance or safety hazards related to emergency lighting and bell systems to management.
- Follow safety protocols and regulations during testing and maintenance processes.
- Collaborate with building management and safety teams to ensure all safety equipment meets required standards.
Experience & Qualifications
- Preferred: Experience in testing emergency lighting and alarm systems (or similar electrical equipment).
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to complete regular inspections and tasks.
- Ability to communicate effectively with management and team members regarding inspection results and necessary repairs.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in various environments, including confined spaces, as needed to access equipment.
