Job Purpose

The ideal candidate will be responsible for working on / around manual machines, following a progressively growing production schedule. The person will receive onsite training and will mainly operate mills, lathes, press out and jig metal segments. Work will be exclusively in the Drive Plate Assembly department, sourcing, prepping and drilling friction material ready for assembly.

The candidate will also be required to conduct weekly van driving to collect and drop off raw materials from suppliers. Additional duties may include supporting other departments and using fly & hydraulic presses.

Producing finished friction material segments to build specifications.

Fulfil requirements of raw material production forecasting.

Follow an ever‑growing production timeframe to meet our customers’ needs.

Conduct background practices to support our frequent flow of assembly.

Weekly van driving to collect and drop off raw materials.

Context

Successful candidates will show willingness to learn, good attention to detail and forward thinking. The candidate should ideally have a basic understanding of using metal components, measuring equipment, hand tools and automotive mechanisms.

It is important the individual can conduct professional and reliable work in a safe environment.

The individual will work alongside other technicians within the assembly process.

Additional Context

Full UK Driving Licence is required.

3–6‑month probation period – PPE provided upon successful probation.

Working Pattern

Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm.
