Role Purpose

To support the financial administration of a growing aviation company by managing day-to-day accounting activities, payroll and benefits administration, accounts receivable and payable, and monthly financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities Accounting & Finance

  • Process and post supplier invoices.
  • Prepare and issue customer invoices.
  • Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable ledgers.
  • Post bank transactions and reconcile accounts.
  • Review and process company credit card expenses.
  • Monitor outstanding invoices and follow up on overdue payments.
  • Manage petty cash records where required.
  • Maintain supplier and customer account information.
  • Administer payroll and salary-related processes.
  • Maintain employee benefits records and coordinate benefit administration.
  • Support pension and other employee deduction processes.
  • Ensure confidentiality of all employee and payroll information.

Reporting & Administration

  • Assist with monthly financial reporting and account reconciliations.
  • Prepare reports and financial information for management.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities as required.
  • Maintain accurate accounting records and documentation.
  • Assist with audit and compliance requirements.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes and procedures.

Requirements Qualifications

  • AAT qualification or qualified by experience, bookkeeping certification, or equivalent accounting qualification preferred
  • Payroll administration qualifications or experience would be beneficial.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in an accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, or finance administration role.

Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger processes.
  • Experience with payroll processing and employee benefits administration.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with the ability to analyse and manipulate financial data.
  • Experience using accounting and payroll software.
  • Ability to prepare accurate financial reports and maintain accounting records.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • High level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential financial and employee information.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a small team environment.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and committed to delivering high-quality work.
  • Flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to take on a broad range of administrative and finance-related responsibilities.
