The Opportunity: This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced General Practitioner to step into a senior clinical leadership role within HeliosX, supporting our UK digital health services across weight loss, dermatology and related conditions.

As a GP Lead, you will play a central role in maintaining high clinical standards, patient safety and regulatory compliance across the service. You will provide senior medical oversight, mentor multidisciplinary clinicians, and contribute to governance, quality improvement and service development, while remaining connected to frontline digital care. This role is offered on a 6 month fixed term contract, 4 days per week, to support maternity leave cover.

What you'll do:

• Provide senior clinical judgement in complex or higher risk cases
• Support safe, consistent decision making across the service
• Mentor and coach pharmacist prescribers, nurses and GP colleagues
• Line manage and support a group of GPs, promoting safe practice and development
• Review and manage clinical escalations, incidents and complaints
• Identify trends and risks, translating learning into guidance updates or training
• Own and monitor defined quality and safety metrics
• Lead and contribute to audits and quality improvement activity
• Support the safe development of new pathways, services and treatments
• Work closely with the Medical Director, Condition Leads and cross functional teams
• Participate in MDTs, medical team meetings and governance forums

What you will bring:

• MBBS (or equivalent) with full GMC registration and licence to practise
• Fully qualified GP with 3+ years post CCT experience
• Strong experience in obesity management and type 2 diabetes
• GLP-1 prescribing experience advantageous, but not essential
• Solid understanding of clinical governance, patient safety and quality improvement
• Experience supporting or mentoring multidisciplinary clinical teams
• Digital health or remote care experience highly desirable
• Calm, confident clinical judgement in complex or ambiguous situations
• Clear, collaborative communication style
