Job Description

The Opportunity:

We’re looking for a People Operations Coordinator who is passionate about creating exceptional employee experiences, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys leading by example.

You’ll take ownership of key operational responsibilities while ensuring that the People team’s operations run smoothly and efficiently.

This role is perfect for someone with a solid foundation in HR who’s ready to take the next step in their career, developing their leadership skills while continuing to deliver an outstanding employee experience.

What you'll be doing:

  • Serve as the go-to expert for all things related to onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle processes.
  • Provide hands-on, 1:1 support to employees, ensuring their challenges are addressed with care and efficiency.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance the employee experience and drive initiatives to improve engagement and satisfaction.
  • Act as the SME for BambooHR, ensuring data accuracy and integrity while maximising its functionality for the team.
  • Oversee the work of the People Operations Coordinator, ensuring quality and consistency in all HR processes and documentation.
  • Support the Manager, People Experience with data reporting and analysis, providing insights that inform strategic decisions.
  • Collaborate with the People team to streamline and automate HR processes, driving efficiency as we scale.
  • Be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for company policies, advising employees and leadership on guidelines and best practices.
  • Partner with the People team to regularly review and update policies, ensuring compliance and alignment with our culture and values.
  • Serve as a trusted resource for complex employee queries, resolving challenges with professionalism and discretion.
  • Act as a conduit between the People Operations Coordinator and People Operations Advisor, ensuring alignment and communication across the team.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to the People Operations Coordinator, helping them develop their skills and confidence.
  • Review and quality-check the Coordinator’s work, providing feedback and ensuring a high standard of delivery.

Who you are:

  • 2+ years of HR experience, with hands-on exposure to HR systems (BambooHR, HiBob, Oracle, Workday, or similar).
  • Deep understanding of HR policies, compliance requirements, and operational best practices.
  • Ability to guide and mentor team members, ensuring high-quality work and consistent processes.
  • A solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and written communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport across all levels.
  • A meticulous approach to managing data, processes, and documentation.
  • A genuine enthusiasm for creating an amazing employee experience and contributing to a high-performing People team.
