Overview
Reporting to the Deputy General Counsel, the Legal Counsel (Group) will support the wider business on a broad range of commercial legal matters, with a particular focus on drafting and negotiating customer and supplier agreements.
The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders across the Group to provide pragmatic, commercially focused legal advice that supports business growth and strategic objectives.
The role will also offer exposure to financing transactions, business development initiatives, M&A activities, and wider strategic projects.

- Role Responsibilities
As a Legal Counsel (Group), you will be responsible for
- Supporting the Group Legal team on a wide range of commercial legal matters across the business.
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating customer, supplier and commercial agreements.
- Advising internal stakeholders on legal risk, contractual obligations and commercial considerations.
- Supporting strategic business initiatives, including financing transactions and M&A activities.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver commercially focused legal solutions.
- Managing legal documentation and ensuring contractual compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
- Providing practical and pragmatic legal guidance in a fast-paced and evolving business environment.
- Supporting the implementation and maintenance of legal governance processes and standards.
Requirements for the Role
To succeed in the role, you will be/have
- Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with 2–4 years’ post qualification experience.
- Training experience gained within a leading international law firm or in-house legal environment.
- Prior in-house experience, including secondments, would be advantageous.
- Strong experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
- Excellent technical legal capability combined with strong commercial acumen.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage evolving priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- LLB or equivalent degree from an internationally recognised university.
- Completion of LPC or SQE qualifications, as applicable.
- Experience within the telecommunications or technology sector would be advantageous.
- French language skills would be highly desirable, particularly for bilingual candidates or individuals with experience working in French-speaking jurisdictions.
