Helical is powering the in-silico labs for biology. Drug discovery still runs in wet labs: slow, expensive, and locked in physical trial-and-error. We’re changing that. Our platform makes Bio Foundation Models directly usable for discovery, enabling pharma teams to run millions of virtual experiments in days, not years. That means you have a rare opportunity to help define how the next generation of drugs will be discovered. Today, leading pharma companies across the globe already use Helical. And we’re just getting started. We’re a talent-dense team building a generation-defining company from Europe. We seek people who care deeply, ship fast, and want their work to change how medicine is made. Join us on this journey as part of our founding team, you’ll help shape the in-silico labs of tomorrow.

As an Operations Strategy Intern, you’ll work directly with the founding team to help design, scale, and operate the core of the company. This isn’t a typical internship; you’ll be trusted with high-impact projects from day one. You’ll work across teams and be exposed to every part of the business. If you’re excited by the idea of helping build a company from the ground up, this is your chance. This internship is designed to be fast-paced, high-learning, and high-ownership, with a clear path to full-time if there’s a mutual fit.

Tasks You’ll take ownership across:

  • Internal operations
  • Strategic projects: Helping shape how Helical runs and scales as we grow across teams and geographies
  • Internal tools: Building custom systems and automations that make Helical faster, smarter, and better
  • Investor relations
  • Internal communications: supporting fundraising efforts and driving clarity across the organization
  • Social media presence: Be the owner of how Helical presents itself to the world

Requirements You should apply if:

  • You’re available full-time for 4–6 months in London or Luxembourg
  • You’re a student or recent graduate in: Life sciences/computational biology/bioinformatics/AI, with a desire to gain experience in business and operations or business, economics, or general engineering, with a demonstrated interest in biotech or AI (courses, internships, side projects, writing)
  • You’re highly tool-savvy; you’ve used Notion, Sheets, Airtable, or automation tools to solve real problems
  • You write clearly and structure your thoughts well, whether in a document, presentation, or LinkedIn post
  • You take ownership naturally; you spot a problem, suggest a fix, and drive it forward

You’ll stand out if:

  • You’ve built internal tools, dashboards, or workflows that improved how a team operated
  • You’ve been in early-stage, high-responsibility environments (startups, research labs, student orgs)
  • You’ve managed or grown a social media presence with clear intent or measurable results

Benefits:

  • Every employee is a co-owner of Helical and you will become a member of the founding team
  • Join a super fast-growing company at the cutting edge of tech bio
  • Work directly with C-level leadership across operations, fundraising, and product
  • Learn what it takes to scale an early-stage company from the ground up
  • Dual-office setup: Luxembourg HQ + London Hub, with frequent cross-office collaboration and events
