The helicopter B1.3 Engineer is responsible for the maintenance of the helicopters. They work in a team of engineers and report to the Maintenance Lead.
Main Responsibilities
- Comply with the requirements as described in the regulations;
- Ensure that all line maintenance tasks carried out to helicopters meet the standard of the UK CAA and M.O.E. instructions;
- Ensure, together with all Engineers, a variable & flexible work planning & work roster based on business needs that supports & realizes business continuity;
- Ensure that all maintenance is completed within the appropriate time scales to ensure provision of a serviceable aircraft to meet the operational need;
- Ensure, based on pilot & all other relevant information, daily problem analysis & problem solving;
- Ensure briefing & debriefing of pilots and Maintenance Lead;
- Ensure that PRF (preflight check) is performed;
- Ensure, in cooperation with NHV Supply Chain, Store & support services that the necessary maintenance material & spare parts are present on site at the planned moment;
- Report daily on the maintenance situation to the Maintenance Lead;
- Responsible for complying with Information Security Management System (ISMS) policies, procedures, and controls and supporting information security objectives.
Skills & Experience
- Experience: UK CAA Part 66 B1.3 License; Extensive relevant experience in aviation and as a licensed engineer is preferred; Engineering experience in different aviation companies is a plus.
- Skills: ICT literate (specific aviation software & MS Office); English (professional level); Knows & operates by the procedure and processes (operational, quality, safety …) installed by the company; Good communicator: debriefing to pilots, flight crew and Maintenance Lead handover of work from/to previous/next shift; Able to work independently when performing in a less controlled environment and to take initiative to improve work and complete tasks within appropriate time scales; Logical thinking.
