About the Role
Finance Assistant at Helen Bamber Foundation, 26‑30 Westland Place, London N1 7JH. Working 9:00–17:30, 37.5 hours per week (full time). The role reports to the Senior Finance Assistant and supports the finance team in ensuring accurate and timely financial processing to support management accounts and decision‑making.
Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable and communicate with suppliers.
- Perform bank reconciliations, manage petty cash and card transactions.
- Prepare month‑end journals, including VAT entries.
- Support the use of finance systems and enter data accurately.
- Safeguard the charity’s assets through accurate payment execution.
- Collaborate closely with the Senior Finance Assistant throughout the finance cycle.
Qualifications
- Proactive, adaptable approach with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent time‑management and organisational skills.
- Experience supporting finance or accounting teams.
- Basic understanding of accounts payable, bank reconciliations and VAT.
- Computer‑savvy with experience using finance software.
Eligibility
- Right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship).
- Subject to a DBS check upon appointment.
