IT Projects Manager

  • We are looking for local candidates for this position, we will not accept applicants that are relocating

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced IT Service & Projects Manager on behalf of our client to lead and develop their internal IT function. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will oversee day-to-day IT service delivery, manage IT team resources, and lead the successful delivery and implementation of key IT projects, system developments, and new technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage, coach, and develop the IT team (including the Business Analyst and IT Support function). Monitor service performance, manage escalations, and drive continuous improvement
  • Lead IT projects and systems implementations from concept through to business-as-usual operation. Ensure proper scope, resource allocation, risk management, testing, and user adoption
  • Coordinate with outsourced development teams and the internal Business Analyst to prioritise requirements, manage deliverables, and oversee testing/release management
  • Manage relationships with external suppliers, technical partners, and software providers to ensure service quality, performance, and value
  • Provide regular updates to the CEO regarding IT performance, risk management, system dependencies, budgeting, and potential technology enhancements (including AI/automation opportunities)

What We Are Looking For

  • Proven experience in a managerial or team lead role within IT service delivery and IT project management
  • Strong track record of managing project lifecycles, cross-functional stakeholders, and third-party/outsourced development suppliers
  • Excellent people leadership skills, with experience managing team performance, capacity, and development
  • Solid understanding of business analysis, system implementations, and change management
  • Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and decision-making capabilities
