About the Role

Join us as an Assistant Shop Manager in our Witney shop and become an ambassador for our charity! We have a permanent part‑time position available working 22.5 hours per week.

Hours: 22.5 hours per week (worked 3 out of 7 days)

Location: Witney

Salary: £15,052.20 per annum (£25,087 pro rata)

Closing date: 10th June 2026 at 12 noon

Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside a team of volunteers to maximise the shop’s sales profits.
  • Deliver excellent customer service and support the charity’s mission.
  • Provide full training and support for volunteers, ensuring high standards of retail operation.
  • Assist the Shop Manager and Area Manager in achieving objectives related to sales, volunteer coordination, and shop operations.
  • Manage volunteer teams in a variety of situations and maintain a safe, welcoming environment.
  • Work weekends on a rota basis and adapt to changing work patterns as required by the business and volunteer availability.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous experience in charity retail or similar customer‑service role.
  • Good eye for detail, strong organisational and IT skills.
  • Ability to manage volunteer teams and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Positive attitude, willingness to learn and adapt.
