Location: Wallingford

Hours: 22.5 hours per week (including weekend rota)

Salary: £15,052.20 per annum (full-time equivalent: £25,087 per annum (pro rata))

Join us as an Assistant Shop Manager in our Wallingford shop and become an ambassador for our charity. You will work alongside a team of volunteers helping maximise the shop’s sales profits. Great customer service is crucial to what we do; previous experience of charity retail would help you hit the ground running.

Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service and support the sale of donated items.
  • Assist in inventory management, stocking and price marking.
  • Support the Shop Manager and Area Manager in achieving sales targets.
  • Coordinate and manage volunteer teams across a variety of situations.
  • Maintain a tidy, safe and welcoming shop environment.
  • Work weekend shifts on a rota basis and adapt to changing patterns as required.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Previous experience in charity retail or customer-facing roles.
  • Strong organisational, detail-oriented and IT skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with volunteers and manage teams.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn specific skills.
  • Flexibility to support changing working patterns and weekend duties.
