My client is looking for a Junior Graphic Designer / Print Artwork Assistant to join their printing department. This is a new role within the department and would suit a practical, detail-focused candidate who enjoys working with artwork, has experience in CorelDRAW, enjoys print preparation and production processes.

The successful candidate will assist with preparing and setting up artwork for printing and cutting, and will receive training on operating flatbed printers. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and drawing up artwork for print production
  • Nesting artwork to maximise material usage and reduce waste
  • Setting up cut files for production
  • Checking artwork for accuracy before printing or cutting
  • Assisting with print layouts and production preparation
  • Working closely with the printing and production team
  • Operating flatbed printers when required, with training provided
  • Ensuring that artwork files are correctly prepared, saved and organised

Requirements:

  • Good working knowledge and experience using CorelDRAW
  • Basic understanding of print-ready artwork and production files
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Computer literate and comfortable working with design software
  • Willingness to learn print machinery and production processes
  • Able to follow instructions and work accurately under deadlines
