Salary: £51,883 - £55,690 (pro rata), depending on experience

Held Health provides specialist neurodevelopmental assessments and emotional wellbeing support for children, young people and their families. Our experienced, multidisciplinary teams work across the UK to deliver high-quality, timely care that recognises the whole child, not just a diagnosis.

We are now looking for experienced Autism Assessors to join our growing neurodevelopmental team, contributing to the delivery of gold-standard autism assessments for children and young people.

As an Autism Assessor, you will work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver autism assessments in line with NICE guidance and national best practice. Most assessments will be conducted in-person in agreed clinic spaces in the Manchester area, with flexibility for some remote work depending on the patient needs.

  • Deliver play-based and observational assessments with children and young people.
  • Write clear, child-centred clinical reports that reflect the strengths, needs, and any diagnosis.
  • Maintain accurate records in line with professional and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in regular supervision, team meetings, and reflective practice.
  • Help shape and improve our autism assessment pathway as we grow.

You are a compassionate and skilled clinician with experience in autism assessments and a commitment to family-centred care.

  • Speech and Language Therapist (HCPC)
  • Mental Health or Learning Disability Nurse (NMC)
  • At least 2 years’ experience in autism assessments for children and young people.
  • Strong report writing and communication skills.
  • Clear Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Ability to adapt assessments for online delivery where appropriate.
