Our multidisciplinary team works collaboratively to deliver high-quality assessment, care, support, and education to children, young people and their families. We are looking to recruit a Nurse Prescriber to support our growing Child and Adolescent ADHD Service. You will play a pivotal role in supporting and managing ADHD in young patients. Your role involves developing and implementing individualized care plans, prescribing medication, and providing ongoing support and education to our patients and their families. This role is currently fully remote, but we are open to it being hybrid and/or office based in the future. Please discuss this with us so we know what you are looking for.
Reporting To: Clinical Director
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, including prescribing medication as appropriate.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of treatment plans, adjusting as necessary, including physical health monitoring.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding ADHD and its management.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers, to ensure holistic care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in accordance with legal and organizational standards.
- Participate in clinical supervision and ongoing mandatory and professional development activities.
- Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives.
Skills and Qualifications must haves:
- Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
- Independent Non-medical Prescriber qualification.
- Experience in child and adolescent mental health, particularly in managing ADHD.
- Strong assessment and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent report writing skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence-based practice.
- Minimum of 3 years post qualification experience in NHS and CAMHS.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary £37,388.00 - £52,809.00 per annum pro-rata
