Occupational Therapist with Sensory Integration

Salary £ 48,750.00 – £68,250.00 pro rata DOE

This role would be one day minimum a week dependent on your availability, but could also be up to full time. Please talk to us about what your commitments are as for the right person we would welcome an opportunity to find that working balance.

Our multidisciplinary team works collaboratively to deliver high-quality assessment, care, support, and education to children, young people and their families. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Occupational Therapist trained in Sensory Integration therapy to join our team in Exeter. The successful candidate will work with children and young people, providing assessments, individualized therapy plans, and interventions to support their sensory processing needs.

Reporting to: the Clinical Director

Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive assessments of sensory processing and integration in children and young people.

  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each client’s unique needs.
  • Provide direct therapy services, including sensory integration therapy, to improve sensory processing and functional abilities.
  • Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to therapy.
  • Monitor and evaluate client progress, adjusting therapy plans as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and documentation.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to case discussions.
  • Provide training and support to families and caregivers to facilitate carryover of therapeutic strategies at home.
  • Stay current with best practices and advancements in sensory processing and paediatric occupational therapy.

Experience and qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Specialized training and experience in sensory integration therapy.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with children and young people in a therapeutic setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.

Compensation and Benefits:

Salary £ 48,750.00 – £68,250.00 pro rata for one or more 7.5 hour days per week DOE
