We are now looking for experienced Project Manager to support us on our Governance Excellence journey.

Location: Hybrid – one day a week in Barnstaple, North Devon, UK

Hours: 3 days a week, one of which would be Thursday - in person - in Barnstaple.

Contract Type: Fixed Term 6 months

Salary: £45-50K pro-rata

Your role:

  • Clarify Project Plan with Project Sponsor: to ensure clarity regarding the project purpose which is ‘Governance excellence’; scope, key milestones, resources, timeline and to develop concise project plan
  • Project Lead & Coordinator: Organizing, guiding and motivating key stakeholders – our Clinical Leads; assigning and coordinating responsibilities, tasks. Supporting stakeholders to identify and remove roadblocks.
  • Risk/Issue Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks to prevent project delays or failure to achieve the key overall project purpose.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Central point of contact, provide transparent weekly progress reporting and manages expectations. Coordinates and leads SteerCo weekly meetings. Ensure deliverables are met and manage/deter project creep.
  • Stakeholder Support/engagement: Motivate, engage and support the Clinical Leads to achieve against their deliverables.
  • Documentation & Closure: Document processes, oversee the collecting, and secure final sign-offs. Coordinate ongoing processes (post project) with sponsor and stakeholders.

Who We’re Looking For

You will be an experienced Project Manager, with a proven track record in delivering data-driven projects. You will also bring a collaborate, supportive, proactive style able to bring the best out of your Stakeholders.

Essential:

  • Proven background in successful project management roles. Able to demonstrate experience in delivering data focussed projects.
  • Project Management qualifications eg PRINCE2
  • Experience working alongside stakeholders and engaging, influencing and motivating.
  • Collaborative style
  • Strong business acumen in project planning and management

Desirable:

  • Sector experience desirable but not essential
  • Governance experience desirable but not essential
