Maintenance Planner in Tadcaster

Tadcaster Full-Time On-site
H

Function: Supply Chain - Brewery Operations

Location: Tadcaster

Salary: between £45,000 - £47,000 per year depending on experience & benefits listed below!

Contract: Permanent

With 2,100 colleagues, a nationwide pub network and a portfolio of brilliant brands proudly made in the UK, we combine pioneering spirit with real scale. We’re also a certified Great Place to Work®, and one of the UK’s Best Workplaces in Manufacturing, Production & Transportation™, a recognition of the culture and colleague experience we build every single day. Together, we’re shaping the future of beer, cider, pubs and beyond.

Now we’re looking for… …a Maintenance Planner to help keep our Tadcaster brewing assets reliable, efficient and compliant.

About the role

As Maintenance Planner, you’ll be an integral part of the operational team, making sure production schedules are met. You’ll help our brewing assets run reliably and efficiently, in line with regulatory and company standards. You’ll develop, coordinate and monitor maintenance plans, support compliance and budget control, and drive continuous improvement across the site.

You’ll be based at our Tadcaster site on a days-based pattern.

What you’ll do

  • Develop and schedule preventive and corrective maintenance plans that meet performance targets and statutory requirements (for example LEV, LOLER, Legionella and PSSR)
  • Create and share weekly and annual maintenance schedules based on production needs, allowing for unplanned events and corrective work
  • Monitor and report repair and maintenance costs against budget, and flag risks and opportunities to Maintenance Managers
  • Track and report KPIs, such as Asset Care Day effectiveness and CMMS (SAP) usage, to support performance and audits
  • Work with managers and engineers to resolve planning obstacles and make sure work is carried out well
  • Optimise spare parts and repairable stock, working with other HEINEKEN sites to reduce inventory costs
  • Support TPM roll-out and continuous improvement, including 5S, Autonomous Maintenance (steps 0-3), root cause failure analysis (RCFA) and Kaizen

Who we’re looking for

You’re a technically skilled person with the drive to match, and you enjoy solving problems. If you want to grow your skills and gain hands‑on experience with a wide range of technologies, we want to hear from you.

Skills and experience

  • Time served as an engineer with a recognised qualification, such as an apprenticeship, HNC/HND or degree
  • 3-4 years’ experience using a computerised maintenance management system (CMMS), preferably SAP PM, in an engineering or FMCG environment
  • Strong planning and organisational skills
  • Exposure to process or packaging operations, and experience of continuous improvement methods such as Lean, TPM or similar
  • Desirable: a formal safety qualification (IOSH or NEBOSH)

Behaviours

We value behaviours as much as technical expertise. You’ll:

  • Take ownership and follow plans through to delivery
  • Approach problems with curiosity and a practical mindset
  • Communicate clearly with engineers, managers and wider teams
  • Collaborate across teams and sites
  • Embrace learning, growth and continuous improvement

Every career here starts with the same three words: Pioneer. Grow. Together.

We’re the people behind some of the world’s most iconic beers and ciders: steeped in history, energised for what’s next. We’re leading the charge on low and no alcohol, creating campaigns that stop people in their tracks, bringing out the best in the great British pub and brewing a better world through real, meaningful sustainability action. If you’re curious and bold, and want to build something that matters, you’ll fit right in.

The Joy of True Togetherness is our purpose, and it shapes how we show up for each other every day. From day one, you’ll be valued, included and supported, with the development and opportunity to go further than you thought possible. Because when you win, we all win.

  • Annual bonus
  • Company-funded private healthcare
  • Double-matched pension contributions (up to 10% of salary)
  • Monthly beer and cider allowance (including low and no alcohol)
  • Retail, restaurant and coffee discounts
  • Learning and development: our Upskill-Reskill programme and in-house UBrew learning platform, plus apprenticeships that let you earn qualifications while you work
  • Support, connection and confidential wellbeing resources for family life, neurodiversity, menopause and mental health

Please note: Some benefits are taxable and may be based on employee contributions. We’re happy to discuss further throughout the application process.
