We’re looking for an Engineering Project Manager to join our Supply Chain function to play a key part in improving and changing the future of our breweries!

About the Role

Reporting into the Engineering Manager, the Project Manager will lead the development and implementation of any new processes or equipment in their brewery infrastructure. All projects should meet the functionality and capability set out in the Capital Project objectives, such as budgeting, scheduling and reporting. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of various projects from initiation through to completion - covering business case development, stakeholder alignment, execution, commissioning, and handover - ensuring delivery against cost, quality, safety, and timeline objectives. This includes providing technical oversight through the review of blueprints, specifications, and engineering designs to ensure compliance with industry standards, while proactively resolving technical issues throughout the project lifecycle. Collaborating with a number of internal colleagues and external stakeholders, you will need to influence others as well as implementing deadlines to keep projects on track. You will manage project logistics including procurement of materials and equipment, supply chain coordination, and contractor management to support uninterrupted project delivery.

The Candidate

We’re looking for a results-driven Project Manager with experience delivering end-to-end CAPEX and operational improvement projects within fast-paced FMCG and manufacturing environments. You’ll be involved from submitting business cases right through to implementation, so a detailed eye with the ability to influence and manage people to hit deadlines will be critical. You will be adept at milestone planning, budget control, forecasting, and schedule management, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects while maintaining effective communication between stakeholders, project managers, design teams, contractors, suppliers, and site personnel. As well as a positive attitude and a continuous improvement mindset, the ideal candidate may have:

  • FMCG or manufacturing environment experience
  • Strong technical oversight skills, including blueprint review and engineering compliance
  • Proven milestone planning, project scheduling, and budget management experience
  • Experience with business case preparation and investment justification
  • Contractor, supplier, and supply chain coordination experience
  • High level of communication and interpersonal skills
  • Great stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and flex for changing priorities
  • Strong risk management, quality assurance, and HSE compliance approach
  • PRINCE2 or comparable project management methodology experience
  • Highly motivated and a self-starter

Alternatively, we would also be interested in hearing from you if you have recently completed your Masters Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering and are now looking for your next big role. You may have an interest in environmental and sustainability projects and be keen to develop as a Project Manager, with a high level of communication and interpersonal skills, and be highly motivated and a strong self-starter. This could be the role for you!
