Job Description

The Old Globe is situated in a prominent corner location and in the heart of Bedminster's shopping precinct in Bristol.

This planned refurbishment will transform the Globe into the 'go to' place for premier drinks with an 'on trend' food offer.

A fantastic opportunity for the new operator to drive trade and re-energise this well-known pub.

Trading Area & Facilities

Internally, this is a traditional one room operation with a central bar and pool table.

Externally, the site benefits from an outside external drinking area which will also be refurbished.

Applicants should be aware that all refurbishments are subject to final board approval which will be determined as part of the leasing process.

Where a significant investment is made in a pub by Star Pubs & Bars, an "Investment Exemption" will be required.

The exemption means that the option of a Market Rent Option lease won't be available at rent review for a period of up to seven years for this site, as per The Pub Code (2016).

Great Pub in a Desirable Area!

The Old Globe is located in an up-and-coming area, with a number of modern bars, creating a lively circuit that the Old Globe will be a key part of.

Enjoying a central location with high footfall on the main shopping street, the pub has the potential to become the go-to destination in the town.

The outlet currently operates as a drinks-led community local.

The site will be a great, welcoming pub venue serving all locals and visitors to the area.

In particular, the residents of Bedminster, specifically the area’s young professionals, shoppers who are looking for great coffee or a light bite for lunch and night owls seeking a lively atmosphere to spend the evening with a few drinks.

Innovative Operator Needed!

Do you have the vision to develop this exciting proposition and make best use of the refurbishment works?

This is a great opportunity for an entrepreneurial and dynamic operator to re-energise a well-known pub business.
