Fantastic opportunity to take over a community focused pub. What would you do with this pub to make it a success?
Trading Area & Facilities
Internally, the main room is served by an “L” shaped bar, equipped with a pool table and dart board. This then moves round to a lounge area with raised seating section – ideal for serving food. The site also has a skittle alley that can be hired out and used as a function room. The letting rooms consist of 2 single rooms, 2 twin rooms, 1 double room and 1 family room.
Externally, the 20th century building holds good kerb appeal, sitting on the corner of a busy junction road. To the rear of the pub sits a small outdoor drinking area, and behind this, the pub also benefits from a private car park, fitting 15 cars comfortably.
A Great Opportunity with Multiple Income Streams
The Crown and Sceptre is a great opportunity, situated on the edge of Taunton town centre. A short walk away from the station and 400 meters from the cricket ground, the pub really benefits from the passing trade in cricket season. 6 letting rooms offer an additional income stream for The Crown and Sceptre. Coupling this with a great breakfast offer would encourage guests to stay longer and more often. Ensuring a well-executed, basic food menu is available daily, along with a good selection of cask ale will entice both guests and locals alike.
Experienced Operator Wanted
With plenty of opportunity to drive trade, Star Pubs are looking to work with an experienced operator. Can you engage the local community and cater to tourists? Are you passionate about good quality service? If so, we want to hear from you!
Private Accommodation
The private accommodation consists of 3 bedrooms, a kitchen, an office, a laundry room and a lounge and where required there will be appropriate works carried out in line with the Star Pubs & Bars Ready to Trade Promise.
