Trading Area & Facilities
Star Pubs are planning an extensive refurbishment at the site to enhance the overall look and feel transforming this traditional pub to a trendy hot spot. An open fireplace and low beamed ceilings create a cosy atmosphere in this country pub. A one bar operation serves the two distinct areas. A new kitchen layout will cater for 50 internal covers. There will be works carried out across the whole pub including the bar/dining area, the bar servery, kitchen, toilets as well as new signage and lighting. The garden will also benefit from a revamp to create a usable space for al fresco dining with an additional 150 covers.
Applicants should be aware that all refurbishments are subject to final board approval which will be determined as part of the leasing process. Where a significant investment is made in a pub by Star Pubs & Bars, an 'Investment Exemption' will be required. The exemption means that the option of a Market Rent Option lease won't be available at rent review for a period of up to seven years for this site, as per The Pub Code (2016).
