About the role

Our BDM creates and leads the delivery of the local new business plan for the Yorkshire and East Midlands, with the main cluster of your customer opportunity situated around Leeds, York, Sheffield, Hull, Doncaster, and the surrounding area. By opening quality, sustainable new customers through both Direct & Indirect routes to market, you’ll help support achievement of the value share target. Your development of a well‑constructed and maintained prospect list will allow you, and the team, to achieve the growth objectives outlined in the local business plan.

An important element of this role will be coaching the Customer Development Executives, supporting them with new business activity whilst developing an appropriate contact strategy for all prospective customers in the region for the team to deliver. When prospecting new customers, you’ll build lasting relationships by understanding their motivations, vision, and business model. You’ll tailor proposals to deliver both HEINEKEN objectives along with those of the customer and you’ll always act as an ambassador of the local region by establishing a network of business relationships throughout the licensed trade.

Who we’re looking for

  • Ideally with a previous sales background, above all you'll have the ability to build and develop relationships at every level.
  • Your ability to plan and implement plans/initiatives will help you gain a real commercial advantage.
  • This is a truly independent role and requires an individual to be self‑motivated, however you'll be part of a wider team of sales experts, only a phone call away should you need them.
  • Interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work with a broad range of internal & external stakeholders
  • High energy and resilience

You’ll be joining an inspired sales team and take on the challenge of turning customers from existing suppliers into HEINEKEN accounts. With a customer‑centric focus you'll know that listening, empathising and engaging will be the way to build relationships and get a foot in the door, our first class and diverse brand range will support you in offering the right solutions to secure the deal after that.

A full UK driving licence is essential for this role. Ideally, you'll have at least 3 months of professional driving experience, but if you don't, that's fine. We'll provide full on‑road driver training during your first few months with us.

Our Benefits

In addition to your base salary, you’ll also receive:

  • An annual sales incentive plus uncapped new business incentive
  • Company Car (a full UK drivers licence is required for this role)

  • Company funded Private Medical Healthcare
  • Double matched pension (up to 10%)
  • 35 days holiday
  • A quarterly allowance towards purchasing our delicious ciders and beers! (low and no alcohol options available)
