About the role

We have an excellent opportunity for a part-qualified accountant to join our Reporting and Accounting team in our head office in Edinburgh. The role involves adding value through review, challenge, analysis and financial control while acting as a key point of contact for colleagues in our shared service centre in Krakow.

Working within Reporting and Accounting you will have exposure to and be responsible for elements of period‑end close activities and associated external audit, incorporating legal entity management reporting, assessment of financial controls and other ad‑hoc tasks. The role is a unique blend of core financial responsibilities and dedicated involvement in our upcoming Enterprise Resource Planning system change‑over to ensure the integrity, cleanliness and migration readiness of existing financial data to support a successful transition.

You will coordinate accounting processes performed in the Heineken European shared service centre in Krakow and business partner with internal teams such as Commercial Finance, Supply Chain Finance, Legal, Process Control and Improvement, Internal Audit and Digital and Technology. Extensive collaboration with external auditors will also be required.

This is an exciting period of change across the finance function as it supports Heineken’s ongoing Global Digital Backbone project.

  • Enjoy working as part of a team
  • Strong stakeholder relationship building and collaboration
  • Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, large data manipulation)
  • Excellent analytical skills with an enquiring mindset
  • Motivated by continuous process and control improvement and efficiency

Additional skills that would be beneficial (not required)

  • Experience working with a major ERP system (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Business Central) or other sub‑ledger system
  • Involvement in a prior system migration, implementation or major upgrade; familiarity with data governance and data integrity principles
  • Experience within FMCG or a large organisation

Benefits

  • Company funded Private Medical Healthcare
  • Annual Bonus
  • Double matched pension (up to 10%)
  • 35 days holiday (pro rata)
