Salary: up to £42,000 p/a dependent on experience, plus £9,373 shift allowance and benefits.

Contract: Permanent

Shift pattern: Panama pattern.

About the role

As the Shift Leader, you’ll report to the Line Leader and play a central role in ensuring the production line operates at a high standard. You will engage with your teams to support their professional and personal development, foster collaboration with peers, and apply Total Productive Management (TPM) principles.

Responsibilities

  • Champion behavioural safety, hazard identification, and resolution to ensure safe working practices and achieve site safety targets.
  • Manage occupational health, wellbeing, and attendance to maintain a safe and effective workforce.
  • Drive high performance through effective communication, performance management, and regular development reviews.
  • Deliver departmental KPI targets to ensure optimum operational results.
  • Strengthen collaboration with TPM stakeholders and ensure correct application of TPM principles.
  • Lead and promote participation in Autonomous Maintenance and loss reduction activities to sustain performance.
  • Develop team capability through structured training and assessment programmes.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience working in a fast‑paced environment or automated packaging line within Supply Chain.
  • Solid understanding of Total Productive Maintenance principles.
  • Proven track record of leading teams with a supportive, engaging leadership style.
  • Commitment to health and safety with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Educational background in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, or related fields (not mandatory but a plus).
