Overview

Technical Operator – Function: Supply Chain – Brewery Operations | Location: Hereford | Salary: £32,099 per annum with Shift Allowance of £7,761 plus benefits listed below

Contract: 12 Month Fixed Term Contract | Shift pattern: Rotating 12-hour shift pattern (days, nights & weekends) on a 4-week cycle

Responsibilities

  • Operate brewing systems safely and efficiently, ensuring quality and consistency throughout the production process.
  • Conduct laboratory analysis at key process stages, delivering First Time Right (FTR) standards and taking corrective action when required.
  • Manage stock levels accurately using SAP, and handle raw materials and processing aids in line with recipe specifications.
  • Set up and manage process pipework and routing equipment, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across the plant.
  • Use process knowledge to identify root causes of deviations or equipment issues, escalating where necessary and preventing recurrence.
  • Work collaboratively across shift teams to ensure smooth handovers and continuity of production.
  • Actively contribute to Zero Accident Culture and drive continuous improvement through Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) programme.

Qualifications

  • Experience working in a production facility or automated manufacturing environment.
  • Exposure to machinery in an FMCG environment.
  • Experience operating, cleaning and maintaining equipment in a fast-paced environment.
  • Use of SAP or ERP software for inventory management.
  • Familiarity with TPM principles and implementing or introducing process improvements.
