Role & Responsibilities:
- Top of Funnel Lead and Meeting Generation
- Identify potential clients: Prospect ideal buyers of BTG services and assess potential based on their role, title, contact information, responsibilities, etc.
- Outreach: Proactively reach out to prospective clients through multiple communication channels, including phone, email and LinkedIn to set up meetings or calls between (prospective) customers and sales executives.
- Represent BTG’s products and services, using comprehensive knowledge as well as consumer research to explain how our solutions meet customer needs.
- Scheduling ownership: Diligence in sending meeting invites and promptly responding to no-shows/cancellations. Coordinate meetings facilitated by both Sales colleagues (or Heidrick colleagues) as required.
- Account based research: Update Sales Executive on intel or insights gained during outbound activities and account research that could inform future prospecting/outreach.
- Strategy development: Together with Sales Executive, develop account outreach and development strategy based on demand, capabilities and account research. Collaborate with sales teams by bringing innovative lead generation ideas to each weekly meeting.
- Meeting Preparation: Create detailed prep notes for Sales leader in advance of client meeting.
- Collateral Development: Support the creation of decks, case studies and related materials for meetings and internal training sessions. Provide support on post-meeting follow up activities.
- Maintain accurate data in our CRM (SFDC).
- Develop and Build Internal Partnerships – Collaborate with colleagues across the org to align and build out best practices for the UK/Europe region, bringing ideas and perspectives to 1:1s with Sales Executive, and building connections with the broader analysts and associate population across other parts of Heidrick’s business.
- ID best practices for incorporation of organisation’s tech platforms for client development.
- Other projects as assigned by Manager and/or the Sales Leader.
Candidate Background:
- 6-12+ months in a commercial/BD oriented role.
- Motivated by targets, commission and nurturing meaningful relationships.
- Professionalism in a corporate office-based environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Self-starter, entrepreneurial nature, high intellectual curiosity, professional communication skills, attention to detail, organized, team player.
- Flexibility: Adaptability to a fast-paced environment, proven time management, and ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
- Desire and ability to move up within a sales organization.
Education: BA/BS degree (required).
Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Salesforce a plus.
