Executive Search Analysts are responsible for supporting the research phase of the executive recruiting lifecycle. Working closely with our expert Search Partners & Principals (Consultants), and connecting with team members across all levels of the Search team, Analysts receive world-class training and mentorship in an apprenticeship-style method. Our Analysts are exposed to all aspects of the recruitment process and assist the Consultant by researching specific industries and relevant companies, plus support business development activities. Analysts support the team through candidate identification, preparing client reports and ensuring all data is accurately captured in H&S systems.
An integral part of an Analyst’s role is building and sustaining relationships with internal Consultants, performing deep candidate, client and industry research and contributing to executive assessments against client’s requirements. While learning the Search industry, Analysts invest significant time researching and learning about various industries, executive roles and functions, and do so in collaboration with colleagues across the globe. The Analyst role has significant responsibility in the executive search process and the opportunity for high impact. The role has an excellent career track potential on a well-defined path. This role sits within our Global Technology Practice.
Role Responsibilities
- Conducting industry research to gain comprehensive understanding of the Client Company, their industry and the position requirements.
- Identifying prospective candidates through targeted company research, relevant prior searches and using Heidrick’s proprietary systems and methodologies.
- Contributing to multiple engagements, candidate pipelines and the needs of multiple internal stakeholders.
- Maintaining progress reports/status reports/market feedback reports for presentation to Consultants and Clients.
- Assisting Consultants in writing candidate assessments to present to clients.
- Supporting business development activities and pitch preparation as directed.
- Partnering well across a multitude of stakeholders with the aim of developing productive and trusting relationships with colleagues across the firm.
- Fostering an environment of collaboration; viewed as a team player.
- Acting as a culture carrier; contributing to firm, practice and/or office initiatives.
- Demonstrating self-awareness, humility, empathy, and open-mindedness in the workplace.
- Maintaining the accuracy, quality, and integrity of all Search information in our various internal and external research tools.
- Managing multiple concurrent projects and completing high quality deliverables on time.
- Acting with the highest regard to professionalism, confidentiality, and ethics.

Basic Role Qualifications
- 0-1 years of recruiting experience or transferable professional experience.
- Fluency in English and German, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally in both languages.
- An undergraduate BA/BS degree is required.
- Developing and honing skills in professional communications, including writing, speaking, and presenting information in a clear and coherent manner.
Preferred Role Qualifications
- Experience in full life cycle recruiting in Executive Search, Contingent Search or In-House Talent Acquisition or other industry requiring applied sales and research skills.
- Proven success simultaneously managing multiple projects and working across teams.
- Experience identifying market trends and researching information effectively through various channels.
- Ability to analyze, organize and synthesize large volumes of information into insights.
- Experience working with Salesforce or other CRM.
- Demonstrated skill in building and maintaining relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders.
- Experience in managing multiple concurrent projects and completing high quality deliverables on time.
