In this role Analysts learn the consulting cycle working as part of a talented team leveraging empirical data from diagnostic tools and providing insights through rigorous analysis. Your contributions will expose you to leaders across a variety of industries and geographies. This role provides the opportunity to develop within one of the fastest growing leadership and organization consultancies specializing in accelerating the performance of leaders, teams and organizations. The purpose of the Analyst role is to support client engagements and product development by researching, gathering, interpreting and presenting complex data in an impactful and compelling way.
Role Responsibilities
- Client Impact & Engagement: Conducting research, organizing and analyzing client data and presenting results in a simplified format. Organizing and interpreting data themes (using qualitative and basic quantitative analytical techniques), driving real insights to support decision making. Gathering and analyzing client data, drawing on a range of problem-solving skills to identify themes and insights. Preparing client output that conveys results in a compelling way. Structuring interview guides / data collection / surveys with limited guidance. Exemplifying responsibility and ownership over assigned work, proactively managing to completion. Ensuring work is “client ready” (e.g. error free, aligned with expectations, ready to be shared with client) and actively managing expectations with team during any draft-revision processes. Planning and prioritizing own work, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met. Achieving target utilization (% of logged time spent on billable client work) of 70%.
- People: Supporting the team in producing high quality deliverables. Working collaboratively with all colleagues across the wider organization (Heidrick Consulting ‘HC’ and H&S). Developing and maintaining professional presence and behavior. Interacting with the client team, being aware of one's impact. Building personal reputation as a trusted and respected team player (via work quality and behavior). Acting as a role model, operating at the highest ethical standards, embodying our proprietary methodology with clients and team, operating at the highest ethical standards, living the firm’s values.
- Firm Building: Supporting the design and roll out of new products/tools, as required. Contributing to business development and preparing to execute won initiatives. Contributing to internal initiatives, supporting the ongoing improvement of the business and employee experience. Demonstrating personal growth and development.
- Knowledge: Building and sharing reusable, client ready materials, insights (including case studies) and project learnings. Contributing to internal or external knowledge development or sharing. Demonstrating movement towards developing a deep knowledge in one or more HC solutions. Proactively seeks learning opportunities with a learning mindset. Contributes across a broad range of client projects. Organizing and maintaining libraries of knowledge collateral, ensuring easy access for users. Coordinating the capture of client data and ensuring compliance with data regulations. Managing projects end to end with support.
Basic Role Qualifications
- 1 - 2 years of professional experience.
- Demonstrated experience with client engagement management.
- An undergraduate degree is required.
- Proficient in PowerPoint, Word and advanced Excel.
- Strong writing skills; demonstrated ability to successfully prepare concise and compelling materials.
- Fluent English speaking.
Preferred Role Qualifications
- A minimum of 1 year in management, strategy or leadership consulting.
- Demonstrated interest in leadership, culture and purpose, people, commercial dynamics, organizations and behaviour; leads with curiosity – about others, our business, our clients’ businesses.
- Highly numerate and structured thinking; possess proficient problem solving and solution-oriented mindset.
- Demonstrated commercial awareness / business acumen.
- Proven domain expertise (leadership assessment & development, succession planning, team & board advisory, organizational culture, purpose and structure, DE&I).
- Strong attention to detail.
- Other language skills a plus.
