Trainee Accounts Assistant (Full time) in Penrith

A great opportunity for someone starting out in finance. A newly created role, we’re recruiting a Trainee Accounts Assistant for a well known company located in Penrith, offering full training and a clear route to progress within the accounts function.

Role Overview

• Processing supplier invoices
• Matching to Purchase Orders/Goods Received Notes
• Supplier ledger maintenance & reconciliations
• Handling supplier queries
• Maintaining accurate financial records
• Supporting with audits and general finance admin

What We\’re Looking For

• Good numeracy and accuracy
• Strong IT skills (Excel, Outlook)
• Good communicator
• Organised, reliable, and willing to learn
• Discreet when handling financial information
• 12 months previous admin or finance experience (desirable)
• GCSEs with good grades (Maths & English)

Progression

• Trainee Accounts Assistant → Accounts Assistant → Assistant Accountant → Management Accountant/Financial Accountant

Salary & Benefits

• Salary £23,500 – £25,000 starting salary (reviewed annually / in line with progression)
• Annual Bonus (Discretionary based on company performance)
