A great opportunity for someone starting out in finance. A newly created role, we’re recruiting a Trainee Accounts Assistant for a well known company located in Penrith, offering full training and a clear route to progress within the accounts function.
Role Overview
- Processing supplier invoices
- Matching to Purchase Orders/Goods Received Notes
- Supplier ledger maintenance & reconciliations
- Handling supplier queries
- Maintaining accurate financial records
- Supporting with audits and general finance admin
What We’re Looking For
- Good numeracy and accuracy
- Strong IT skills (Excel, Outlook)
- Good communicator
- Organised, reliable, and willing to learn
- Discreet when handling financial information
- 12 months previous admin or finance experience (desirable)
- GCSEs with good grades (Maths & English)
Progression
- Trainee Accounts Assistant → Accounts Assistant → Assistant Accountant → Management Accountant/Financial Accountant
Salary & Benefits
- Salary £23,500 - £25,000 starting salary (reviewed annually / in line with progression)
- Annual Bonus (Discretionary based on company performance)
