Are you an experienced Accounts Payable professional looking for a role where you'll be valued, supported and have the opportunity to secure a permanent position?

We're delighted to be working with a well-established global manufacturing business based in Wigton, who are looking to appoint an Accounts Payable Assistant on an initial 6-month contract , with genuine potential for the role to become permanent.

This opportunity has arisen due to continued business growth and the introduction of new business streams, making it an exciting time to join the organisation.

Despite being part of a successful international manufacturer, the site has a genuinely close-knit, friendly culture where everyone works together and supports one another.

You'll become part of a finance team of six , reporting into an experienced Accounts Department Supervisor.

The Role Working within a busy finance function, you'll play a key role in ensuring suppliers are paid accurately and on time while maintaining strong financial controls.

Responsibilities will include: Processing supplier invoices and credit notes Matching invoices against purchase orders Booking goods received onto the ERP system Reconciling supplier statements Investigating and resolving invoice queries Supporting timely supplier payments Working closely with colleagues across the business to ensure smooth financial processes The business operates a market-leading ERP system, providing an excellent opportunity to further develop your systems experience within a modern manufacturing environment.

About You You'll already have experience working within an Accounts Payable environment and enjoy working accurately in a fast-paced team.

You'll bring: Previous Accounts Payable / Purchase Ledger experience Strong attention to detail Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Good Excel and IT skills A proactive, organised approach The ability to work collaboratively within a supportive team What's on Offer?
