Purpose of the role
To be able to operate any mobile and static plant, as directed by Site Management, to which they are certificated in safe and proper manner. To undertake general housekeeping works as required by MQP. To undertake other duties within their scope on the main processing plant in accordance with Site Management recommendations.
Key accountabilities
- To maintain the mobile and static plant in a good order physically and with re-fueling, greasing, cleaning in accordance with the manufacturers and MQP recommendations.
- To ensure all plant is operated as economically as possible.
- To complete daily inspection sheets of the conditions of mobile plant.
- To report problems or defects of mobile plant to the Load & Haul management team.
- To complete near miss reports as required by Site Management.
Education/Qualification
- Minimum of a Grade 4+ equivalent to a C at GCSE in Maths and English.
- Good general education required as a large amount of health and safety regulations and Quarry Regulations are required to be understood and carried out.
- Relevant competency cards in loading shovel, ADT and excavator (required).
- Experience in similar role (desired).
