We are looking for a dedicated HGV Class 2 Driver to join our regional logistics team. This role is key to ensuring our products are delivered safely, efficiently, and with outstanding customer service. You will be part of a team focused on maintaining high standards, operational excellence, and full compliance with Health & Safety and Road Transport legislation.
Purpose of the Role:
- To deliver Heidelberg Materials products to customers in a timely, courteous, and professional manner.
- You will uphold company standards, comply with legislation, and contribute to safe and efficient regional distribution operations.
Key Accountabilities:
- Ensure the vehicle and equipment are well maintained, clean, and legally compliant at all times.
- Accurately manage all vehicle records in line with legislation and company procedures.
- Comply with all company policies, including personnel, administration, and Health & Safety.
- Adhere to Working Time Directive, Road Transport Law, and Environmental procedures.
- Carry out deliveries efficiently, cost‑effectively, and with excellent customer service.
- Maintain punctual and consistent attendance to meet operational requirements.
- Perform additional duties as required by management.
Essential Requirements:
- LGV Class 2 (Cat C) licence
- Clean HGV/LGV driving licence
- Good understanding of Road Transport Law, Working Time Directive, and Health & Safety legislation
- Numerate and literate
Desirable:
- Valid EPIC card
- Well‑motivated, physically fit, and able to work independently
- Knowledge of road safety legislation
